The New-Era Wireless (NEW) Lab is with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Southern University. The current research focuses of the NEW Lab include:

    • Performance optimization of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications and networking

    • Blockchain for connected and autonomous vehicles

    • Machine learning for connected and autonomous vehicles

    • Shared situational awareness among connected and autonomous vehicles

    • Human electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure in wireless systems

We were awarded a Best Paper Award from the IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC) 2022 for our paper entitled "On the Byzantine-fault-tolerant consensus in blockchain built on internet of vehicles." The award can be found here.
